New video from Judith.

Good to see him looking happy, but I really struggled to understand what he's saying. Perhaps (understandably) the stroke has made his voice even worse?

It was a bit better in other videos after the stroke. But his talking voice has always been hard for me to understand while his singing voice is crystal clear.

His speaking voice changed a lot during his 1981 illness. Before that, every word was clear even when he was hoarse, but afterwards he spoke much faster and became more slurred. Compare 'Blue Peter' (1980) to Bristol (1983). Some people claim this is because he took more pills when his stomach was no longer capable of taking alcohol.

"NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE: "Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame inductee JERRY LEE is inducted and interviewed by LMHOF President, MIKE SHEPHERD at his ranch..."

Video starts with J.W. WHITTEN and CECIL HARRELSON being interviewed. JERRY enters the room at 9.14. The JERRY LEE part is not really an interview. Interesting to see this for the very first time. This must've been taped circa 2007."

Great footage indeed! Kerrie looks great and Jerry is wild. Watch him push back the monitor towards the end of the show. Those were the last days of the wild, kind of out-of-control Jerry. He also looks as if he is on some kind of drug. He has mellowed a lot since which was probably a good thing for his health.

Last days indeed! Although Jerry's set-list often became a little less varied after 1989, many of his '90s shows were still incredible. Watching this made me very nostalgic for those great times.

I know some other people feel differently, but Kerrie is the ONLY Lewis lady to always treat me with respect and kindness. The others tended to only get in touch when they wanted something.
