A few years would pass before I would encounter a record store of this size. In 1971 I was buying most of my records from my neighborhood shop, good old Standard Records and Hi-Fi. Google Street View shows the building battered but still standing. How tiny it is! As I remember it, the right one third of the storefront was devoted to selling stereos, which means the record store was not very much wider than a first generation Honda CR-V is long.
