Old music papers

Old music papers

I recently came across a site that has complete collections of old music papers ( NME, Record Mirror etc) from the 1950s, 60s and 70s free to view. Idly browsing through old Record Mirrors I was surprised to find a letter from me in 1966 praising Jerry's piano pumpin' and another from Tony Papard ( calling himself Shakin' Tony Papard!) in 1967 criticising Tom Jones for ripping off 2 songs from Jerry's Country Songs for City Folks album. How gratifying to see that after well over half a century some of us are still keeping the faith.
Seriously, the site mentioned is a treasure trove for anyone wanting to trawl through old interviews, reviews and articles on a whole range of artists. It can be located at : worldradiohistory.com
