I see this events has drawn some comments on facebook from Marla. - 'I am very disturbed that you decided to do this on the same day as the US fans were planning theirs. Not cool.'

What a loser!!! Like those possible 2 events would interfere with each other any way.And planning is not same as doing...I don´t believe there would be any U.S. fans anyway in Holland,no matter how many parties there are on the same date.

There is once more a personal ego disappointed not the thing itself, it seems.

I don't see that the two events clash they can co-exist. I expect it was a gut reaction by Marla and she will see that in the end.

Presumably the U.S. event is to celebrate his birthday.

Henry, there's only one fanclub at the moment and that's the one Wim grounded 50 years ago.
If the Americans want to do something (after all those years) let them have their own party but don't interfear in our business.
Did you fix the hole

Yes i know that Piet, Wim started the dutch club and Fireball Mail whitch later adopted(or took over)The International JLL Fanclub so i still think it,s older than 50 years.I think it was around 68-69 Per Åke Blohm wrote his first colum in Swedish in The Fireball Mail and before that we use to recive some stencil information from Kay and Gary Scala via our Swedish Fan Club letters.I also remember Perra wrote about an English club and someone called Tony Papard.
No with what should i fix it

I began writing my column in FBM in 1965. Marla's a newcomer. Let Wim do his thing and quit interfering. He's been faithful to Jerry for 50 years. Let the Americans do what they want...it has no bearing on the fan club in Europe.
