I know he's never done it when previous band members have died, but I think this is the first time that a current band member rather than a former band member has died (only other one I can think of is possibly Bill Strom though I think he'd quit actually working for Jerry through ill-health weeks before he died). All very sad.

From Judith's FB page -

As far as I know he has not turned up at any funeral since Carl Perkins' one. Too much too take for him these days I think (emotionally!). However I think he will get over it pretty soon even though I am sure that in a way he will always miss B.B. and he will pay respect to him in his own way.

We've had this discussion before, and Graham Knight pointed out that Jerry went to another funeral of a friend a few years after Carl Perkins (can't remember the name of the guy, no-one I've heard of). But he didn't go to Joel Schumaker's or Bill Strom's funerals, nor Johnny Cash's.

B.B. was really good to fans and was always willing to talk to any and everyone. He enjoyed playing and being a part of the band. I think Jerry Lee enjoyed having him these last15 years. RIP

And if Jerry ever would return to Sweden again he could have a pickup bassplayer named Joakim Arnell (The Refreshments). He would love to be in the Killer band if he been asked. (I think ( to go on about the subjekt))

It was a silly thing to close the other thread. Bo Diddley after he lost two toes and had all reason to be depressed, told me to always look forward to things no matter what happens. I think B.B. has a similiar attitude and does not mind us discussing things like that wherever he is now. After all the thread was very respectful of B.B. as it is clear it will be very difficult to find someone, who is up to the job he did. B.B. cannot be replaced.

Seems like the 16-year-old boy was one of the aggressors, so I am not feeling sorry for this guy.
