The dead of Neil Amstrong reminds me of the fact he took music from JLL with him on his trip to the moon. I heard about long time ago but don't remember where is was told, a good question for our specialsist
I'm pretty sure Johnny B Goode was included as an 'Earth artifact' on one of the unmanned Voyager Space probes. The only song I ever remember hearing the Apollo crew took up was 'Fly Me To The Moon' by Sinatra.
I know that one astronaut (not sure if it was him) took a personal taped message from Jerry into space with him... A few years back a well known fan (Scott Doran) wrote to NASA to see if they'd send him a copy. He never got a reply.
I don’t know what JLL was on the tape. I’ve read a couple of books that mention it. Country by Nick Tosches says Conrad brought a cassette of JLL music on aboard Apollo 12. (page 70 1st edition). I had read somewhere else that Conrad had put some JLL, Bob Willis (San Antonio Rose) & Frank Sinatra on his personal mix tape.
