Jerry already has a very loud amp near him for his vocals and piano, so not sure this would make any difference. I do notice though that he generally manages to sing in tune whenever he stops playing the piano, so maybe he's just finding it difficult to focus on both singing and playing at the same time now that he's older?

Linda can be very nice sometimes, but she's also probably the most insecure person I've ever met.

How do you mean insecure ? In her temper ?

No, I mean emotionally. She craves attention and praise, and doesn't like anyone else to get it more than her - with the notable exception of her brother. This even extends to her more talented older daughter Mary Jean, who she refuses to allow to sing lead vocals or play piano on any live concerts or albums (she's ok with Annie, but her mediocre talents aren't a threat to anyone).

Wow, didn´t know that Mary Jean is more talented than Linda. By the way, Linda and Jerry seems pretty alike? He craves attention to(at least he did).

You misunderstood, I meant she's more talented than Linda's younger daughter (but so are most people).

Tommy, even though you misunderstood Peters' comment, surely you should make your own mind up , not just accept it when it is someone else's opinion ?

You're right here Peter, besides that she so much nicer than her mother or sister. (And I should know :D )

great pictures Thomas - thanks; and for all the fb stuff ! Robert Hall told me when they did the cake presentation, as Ringo left the stage he patted Robert on the shoulder & said "good job" or something like that; I was pleased to see the video came out where we see Ringo doing that.

Indeed! I thought it was an odd comment just taking an opinion as fact. :D

Incidentally, at least two long term JLL fans who went to the shows (one went to London, the other in Glasgow) have told me that they thought Linda Gail was by far the weakest act of the night.

Although Linda would no doubt disagree (and Mary Jean isn't interested anyway), I believe Linda and her daughters' "Lewis 3" act, with acoustic instrumentation and 3 part harmonies would go down better with most people. Far more interesting than a JLL tribute act.

Of course. But it´s a a big difference between an opinion and facts isn´t it? I haven´t the slightest knowledge of Mary Jeans musical abilities.
