I like the fact that Chubby is joining Jerry for shows. Far more entertaining (& far more famous)than Linda Gail.

I'm with you on that one Peter. I'm not big on Linda. Chubby I like.

I can't think of many other big stars from the pre-Beatles era that are still touring. Richard & Fats are officially retired & (it seems) Chuck is unofficially retired. Of course there's people like Freddy Cannon, Wanda Jackson & Charlie Gracie, but they never sold as many records as Chubby Checker. Does Brenda Lee still perform?

Brenda Lee is like Jerry Lee...does about six shows a year. Difference is, she has not recorded since 1997, yet she is listed as the top selling female of all-time. I have all her recordings. We seen her in concert five years ago and she still gives an amazing two hour show and sounds good. 24 gold records, 57 top ten hits, toured in 82 countries, appeared on hundreds of major TV shows. Only female artist I've ever liked.

You've claimed that before Paul, but there are actually several female artists from the past 30 years who have outsold her. Madonna is the top selling female artist of all time (& the 4th best-selling out of everyone).

I don't like Madonna, but she's been releasing chart-topping records for over 30 years.

This list must be rubbish. Where is Fats Domino? He sold tons of records.

No list can be 100% accurate, particularly for the early days when record labels often lied about sales to avoid paying royalties. There's little doubt that Madonna is the best selling female artist though.

Not according to the RIAA Peter who keep records on all sales for all artists. After Presley, Fats Domino was second biggest selling male artist in music history. We're talking world-wide sales.

Have you got a link??

I can only find RIAA sales for USA, where incredibly Garth Brooks has sold more than Elvis Presley (Garth Brooks means as much in the UK as our own best seller Cliff Richard means to the USA)...

Yes they are pretty suited to tour together. I would like to hear Jerry Lee doing The Hucklebuck! I'll think he should do it pretty well.

He did The Twist! A (very) poor quality recording from New Jersey in 1962 survives. Of course, Jerry also cut a couple of other songs influenced by Chubby / The Twist.

I was thinking of that Yesterday but i forgot that show. I listen to it now. He did it real good! :D Damn i wish the Quality can be fixed in the feature. I thought it was from a much later Show did by his Band. Maybe i was right to. I think i have seen it from some 1970s Show list.

Tex shared some short clips on Facebook, so at least the following songs were played.

Down The Line
You Win Again
She Even Woke Me Up To Say Goodbye
Sweet Little Sixteen
Memphis Tennessee (!!)
Mexicali Rose
Before The Night Is Over
Don't Put No Headstone On My Grave
Great Balls Of Fire
Whole Lotta Shakin Going On

He entered the stage without a walking cane and it seems he kicked back the piano stool.

Walks unaided and looks happy and in good shape. The piano seems to be a bit low in the mix.
