Apparently Buck Hutcheson has told a fan that Jerry will be doing NO more shows after this year, and will be fully retiring! I don't believe it myself. :?

I sure hope that isn't the case!

I don't think so. Buck Hutcheson has also told a fan about Jerry's apparant fees for London and Glasgow and proved to be totally wrong.

With all due respect, Buck has always been nice to me, but he is not a reliable source.

I expect to see JLL continuing performing at least locally. I cannot imagine him stopping altogether and I doubt it would do him good.

There seem to be some arguments going on about his well-being. Myra and Phoebe apparantly strongly oppose Judith.

In the end of the day, none of us really knows what is going on at the ranch. From my impression I would tell that Jerry appears to be happy, but age is taking its toll. He still performs well though, no need to be embarrassed yet.

Will be interesting to see whether or not any 2016 shows are announced in the near future. Last year for example the 2015 Memphis in May concert (subsequently cancelled) was posted on here on 16th August 2014.

A friend of mine phoned Kerrie a couple of days ago, and she said that Lee (JLL III) is coming over with Jerry to the UK. She didn't know whether they were leaving Thursday or Friday though.

Jerry did mention earlier that he will not be touring after this year with no shows in 2016. His gig at B. B. King's could be his farewell show. At age 80, this does make sense.

I wish there'd be an official statement either way. It should be announced properly, not just rumours on facebook.

He never mentioned that. I know it is your wish for at least 20 years now, but why should he stop performing altogether as long as he still sounds good unlike Little Richard, who made a complete fool of himself in Las Vegas 2013?

And unlike Chuck Berry who also made a fool of himself in recent years... I agree, Jerry is still capable of doing a good show. I think there will still be occasional US shows (and I wouldn't totally rule out Europe either if they offered him enough money).

He certainly won't be doing shows 3 days in a row, but yes he has 3 more gigs in 2015... and none in 2016 (yet).

5 shows in total, the Beale Street "gigs" are just birthday celebrations with him showing up, but not performing.

But he's playing at the JLL Honky Tonk thing?
