Ok, Niek, I got your point now.

Peter, you are right though. He did pretty well in 2000.

I'm not gonna get into this argument...I'll get all bruised up. Pollstar still list the June dates by him, wish they'd get their ducks in a row. Makes Lewis' management looked out-of-touch.

Thanks Wolfgang.
I agree that in my opinion he did do pretty well in 2000. I was refering to what Jimmy Ripp mentioned somewhere, that they couldn't get in touch with Jerry and that when they found them him he was in terrible condition. But maybe that was more 1997/1998 as in my memory he was in better shape around 2000 than in 1998.

To me again a very sad and disrespectful move from the Lewis people. I think they all knew months ago that there was no change he would make it to this one, since I think he's completely messed up. But no, they just keep the show on and 4 weeks before cancel. I'm suprised they didn't wait till july 30th to cancell.

I don't think 4 weeks notice is too unreasonable, and to be fair if he really is doing exercises then they may have thought he'd be ok by then.

I'm more annoyed with Frankie, telling fans "He's fine" the day before the show is cancelled. I can understand her not wanting to discuss his health, but why not just say that (and whatever happened to her previous "pray for my brother" attitude?).

Personally I'd like Jerry (or "his people") to make a press statement on his health and career, though I doubt if they will.

I agree with Niek. He is probably totally messed up. Remember those horrible wedding pics? His eyes were staring into nowhere and he looked unable to move, even remained seated for the ceremony. Those were taken BEFORE he broke his ribs and leg. Thank God they have not published any pictures since.

I have also to admit that I am tired of all those cancellations, cost me a lot of money for nothing. Chuck Berry in Le Cannet, Jerry Lee Lewis in Paris and now Monte Carlo.

I will see Status Quo three times this year. That's enough.

But you are right, they hardly ever cancel. Their attitude to performing is totally different to Chuck's or Jerry's.
