Where is your source for this? I didn't see Murray write any thing of the sort!

Faye has deleted the entire thread in the meantime.

What a great s̶u̶p̶e̶r̶ ̶s̶p̶r̶e̶a̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶e̶v̶e̶n̶t̶ Birthday Party!

Incidentally, doesn't Mickey Gilley play piano anymore? I was surprised to see Linda Gail backing him.

He doesn't. To my knowledge, he never regained the ability to play the piano after his fall several years ago

I think Logan is right even though I am not an Gilley expert. Last time he played the piano must have been in 2008.

He contracted Coronavirus a couple of days ago, but is doing fine.

Damn!

Where's Paul MacPhail? I'm sure he knows more regarding Mickey's (lack of) playing.

From August, 2019:

He praised his band, particularly keyboard player Lee Hendrix, who captures Gilley’s style on piano on hits like “Room Full of Roses.” “I had a spinal cord injury about 10 years ago that took my hands away from me, but he’s extended my career,” Gilley said.

Unfortunately this is blocked here in the UK (but thanks anyway!). Seems like he still remains in pretty good voice though.

Great news! I'm not a huge fan, but Mickey has always seemed like a genuinely nice guy.
