So does this mean the June 23 show at B.B.'s is cancelled?

The clips I have heard show JLL in great form - clear vocals and very nimble fingers on the keys. There seemed to have been a power cut just as Kenny was about to take his guitar solo during Mexicalli Rose - then when power was back on again JLL ended the song. He went into GBOF which was really great but after the first piano solo continued directly into the movie style solo and bought the song to a close. Somebody seemed to be annoying JLL in the audience as well by smirking?

Seems like a short show circa 30 mins?

Jerry performed ten songs, one just a verse of "Crazy Arms"...very short. He dressed in a gold embroidered jacket with black lapels, black trousers, white dress shirt. Memphis Beats dressed in black. Piano loud and clear...great piano playing. First song "Down the Line" very draggy. The songs made up of same set he's been using past 20 years. On stage later he was presented a white birthday cake with blue trim, 3 big sparklers on top. Walks with help of cane, stooped over bad because of back troubles, thick gray hair, mostly all rock numbers except one country hit..."She Even Woke Me Up to Say Goodbye". Ended with his two big 1957 rockers.

Nine songs have been identified so far Paul. I watched the whole thing on streaming and I counted 9 songs but maybe I dozed off lol as it was 2AM UK time. Mexicalli Rose unfortunately was cut short when the power went for a minute.

Set List (38 min)
Down The Line
Crazy Arms
Drinkin' Wine Spo Dee O Dee
Rockin' My Life Away
She Even Woke Me Up To Say Goodbye
Roll Over Beethoven
Mexicali Rose
Great Balls Of Fire
Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On
Happy Birthday (with Kenneth Lovelace)

Jerry apologized for being very hoarse at the beginning of the show. His voice failed him on a couple of songs, but very fine piano playing throughout. Great sound in this beautiful venue, piano upfront!

Thanks Wolfgang -there was some really great piano playing - I look forward to Peter Hayman's detailed analysis of the piano licks in the next Fire Ball Mail!

Linda's Set (36 minutes) included "Rip It Up", "Boppin' The Blues", "Should I Ever Love Again", "Blue Suede Shoes", "(a song unknown to me that will be released in 2018)", "Let's Have A Party" and others. She used Jerry's band plus Annie. There was no intermission after her show. Jerry's band played "Columbus Stockade Blues" (Kenneth Lovelace) and "The Fireman" (Buck Hutcheson) and then a video was shown (two songs + video = 11 minutes). Jerry kicked off his show right after the video.
