Postby bailbath » Wed Jan 13, 2010 7:10 pm

Ok we got a new release out Mean Old Man EP and expect new cd later this year. Plus a refresh of the setlist would be a good idea anyway so off you go folks.

But a brilliant idea for Jerry if they pay him $100k per show, but audiences might be a leetle peeved.

I like Peter's idea though, with two massive hits he could open with one and close with the other, and it would solve the problem of idiots shouting for 'Great Balls of Fire' thruout the performance.

I agree - opening with Great Balls of Fire or WLSGO would be a good move.

Or does JLL need to build up the energy for those songs? I know he opens with other rock songs, but would he be able to do GBOF or WLSGO the way that he wants to, being the first song?
If it's good enough for me,
It should be good enough for you.

Of course he could. If anything 'Roll Over Beethoven' is usually performed with more energy than any of those.

You win again
I Don't Want To Be Lonely Tonight/Why you been gone so long

I think they are idiots, because they do not inform themselves whom they are going to see. If only they had done a quick search on the internet they would have seen that "Great Balls Of Fire" is usually his closing number and included on virtually every show. But these people do not bother. They pay hundreds of Euro to see an artist they don't even know.

And I just can't see the point in shouting out repeatedly for one of an artist's greatest hits, especially early on in a show. You'd do so at the end if they'd missed it out, hoping they'd do it as an encore.

With Jerry Lee it would make more sense to request other big hits of his which he doesn't include in every show, or indeed in any show nowadays.

Which is what I usually do. In London in 2004 I requested both 'High School Confidential' & 'What'd I Say', & he played them both.

Well my dream setlis definetly is a DREAM setlist and it will never happen but i would love to got to a concert with these songs:

1- Rockin Jerry Lee ( explains himself great)
2. No more hanging on ( One of his finest records ever)
3. I am what i am ( Again a perfect JLL number)
4. She even woke me up to say goodbye ( a great country song)
5. Let the good times roll ( a great SUN song which i think is as good as BReathless)
6. Meat Man ( again like Rockin Jerry Lee and I am what I am)
7. Wild one ( A JLL song that describes him just perfect
8. You win again ( Good song to slow down a bit)
9. Crazy arms ( another one that has a really good melody and goes back to his first record)
10. Everyday I have to cry ( One of his later chart Hits and a great song )
11.Play me a song I can cry to ( My favourite song fron his Country Comeback a shame he never played it Live)
12. Drinking Wine Spodee Ode ( good rock´n roller that if it would been released in the 50´s a third world hit)
13. That Lucky old sun ( Only Jerry and Kenny like LMS LIve)
14. Keep my motor running ( Great song)
15. I´ll find it where I can ( with Jerry stadning up and walkin around on stage)
16. Circumstential Evidence ( My favourite at the moment. Just funny lyrics)
17. Better not look down ( A good one in a great version)
18. Boogie Woogie Country Man ( I love the piano solo´s he allways did in this song)
19. Folsom Prison Blues ( Great JC cover)
20. Mona Lisa ( A good song and jerry likes it a lot it seems)
21. Life´s Railway to heaven ( Best Gospel song of the killer)
22: Me and Bobby Mc Gee
23: Would you take another chance on me ( a song with such wonderfull lyrics)
24. Think about it Darlin ( A great one )
25 : Medley: Good Golly Miss Molly / Long tall Sally/Tutti Frutti ( miss the times he did that)
26. Lewis Boogie
27. A Damn good country song ( describes Jerry just perfectly)
