A few notes:

* Though not a concert, I was lucky enough to attend the Cambridge '87 after-show 'hotel session' where he sang & played piano to a few fans for a couple of hours.

* I didn't see any of the three 1990 UK shows (I was busy moving home & was going to catch some of the later shows in the tour - but he cancelled!).

* I attended the Bristol 2004 'no show', but I didn't return for the rescheduled performance.

* I had a ticket for Portsmouth 2004 but I didn't attend the show.

* I had a ticket for London 2006, but after sleeping rough in London the night before (& finally getting the train home early the next morning) I was in no mood to travel back again!

I've been the victim of several 'no-shows' and cancelled gigs. Which is the reason I wouldn't book tickets outside the country to see Jerry Lee. I had cancelled shows in 1990, 2004 and 2005.

We're not having a contest though. It;s just interesting to see who's seen what show. People's circumstances can often mean they don't attend as many shows as they'd like, but that shouldn't mean they are any less of a JLL nut.
I'm amazed I travelled to London in '93 to see just one show, when he played another in London the night before! What was I thinking?

I know you didn't mean that RD. I just didn't want anyone thinking "I'm not going to post on this thread because I've only seen one or two shows". It'd be a shame if someone thought that. :D I'd like to see everyone share their shows.
I wish I'd have seen him in 1990 as you did. There was quite a change in him after that. 1990 Jerry Lee was still 'mid era' Killer. The early nineties were the start of later era Killer. He was quite heavy and wearing a track suit when I first saw him. Wish I'd have seen the 1990 show I had a ticket for.
Great idea for a thread Peter!

And RD, I'm an Elvis nut too!

Here is my list.

Wembley 85 First gig for me of JLL I was miles back and had to use binoculars!! Great memory had to really run fast for my train as it was the last one back!
Camberley 90 This was at the 'home of darts' and the only reason I heard about the gig was a friend said that they had been talking about it during a darts contest on the tv coverage!
Gloucester 90 I started the stage charge from the side of the stage and Jerry came forward and was shaking peoples hands I said 'play some more please' to him when he shook my hand.I did notice he seemed a little high that night. He did go back to the piano but no more playing!
Clapham 93 two nights in a row me and my mates hung around the stage door and when JLL came out I said 'Great show Jerry' and he gave a thumbs up. My mate thought it was great that I got a reaction.
london Forum 93 Took my Dad to this one which was great as I had not always been in contact with my Dad in my early life so that is a great memory.
Stoke mandeville 93 First time in a field for a JLL concert!
London Forum 95 Great gig this one
Manchester 04 fighting in the crowd right next to me and the missus added to the excitement of my and my wife (first concert for her in her life, we don't count the Westlife concert we HAD to attend once). My wife Karen was going to hit the bouncers that night as they were a bit OTT.
Bristol 04 I took loads of photos that night so I almost missed what was going on!
London shephards bush 06 Another great night of music Chas and Dave were a good support act.Tony Papard was sat next to us but we did not realize who it was.Next time we will say hello Tony.
100 Club London 08 Very Close to the piano standing at the front of stage.
Forum London 08 Great gig one of favs Standing gig.
Bocholt 09 Thanks to Rolf for this unique show in Germany my first JLL gig in mainland Europe.

Got to correct (or at least clarify) this: he only played ONE show in Clapham, but he DID play two London shows in a row (The Grand in Clapham on 5th November, & The Forum on 6th November). I wasstanding on the stage behind Jerry at The Grand (lousy sound but fantastic view watching Jerry AND the audience at the same time!).
