Jerry Lee with Celebrities

How about a thread with pics of Jerry with other famous people, rock & rollers etc. I start with one of Jerry and the former US president Ronald Reagan.

That's a good one. It escaped me that JLL had met with the Reagans. When and where? Or is this a (very good) 'photoshop' exercise? It's not 1st April, though...

This picture with Reagan came from Lucio a few years back. I recall he said it was featured in a Jerry Lee Tour magazine. I also recall a supposed show for Reagan was mentioned in Fireball mail. But for details, i´m lost.

Absolutely no picture messing from me ; )))

Of course, Ronnie's last movie (1964) was called "The Killers", so I guess it was appropraite that he would have sought an audience with JLL at some stage....

Ronnie and Nancy meet The Killer

Postby Tony Papard » Thu Jul 05, 2007 6:40 pm

This is NOT a hoax. The photo hangs in Jerry's back lounge overlooking the lake. I saw it there myself. I hardly think they'd have a fake photo hanging there in a frame.

But then again,he does have 'fake' gold records in frames, awarded by Mercury, but not officially 'gold' records. But these are slightly different. Although not officially recognized, they were awarded to Jerry by his record company in recognition of his huge sales.

That photo deserves a caption
Ronnie to Nancy "I told you not to let him through the gates he's bound to have a gun and want to kill us!"

The photo looks as if it's from circa 1980, so I wonder if it's before or after the november 1980 'Country Music: A Family Affair' taping? During 'I'll Fly Away' Jerry did an ad-lib that went something like "We've just got a brand new president voted in, & it looks like we'll all fly away!"

We might just all fly away!

:) The one and only time Jerry Lee has done 'satire', at least in a song, to my knowledge.

An American pianist/singer who did do brilliant satire in the 1960s was Tom Lehrer. Some of his songs are still relevant today, such as 'Pollution' for instance: 'The city streets are quite a thrill, if the hoods don't get ya the monoxide will' and 'The breakfast garbage you throw into the Bay, they drink at lunch in San Jose'. Just two lines from this song.

Here´s another, this is Jerry with a girl. I know Peter knows who she is, but give the others a chance first :D

Most should know it though

And based on the latest gossip, she is again free as a tree.
Although I admit not my kind of cake.

I've always been very curious about what year this was taken, as Jerry looks as thin as he did in 1987 but much older / greyer. I think he got thin circa 1999 (& was even doing judo according to Kerrie!), so maybe it's from this era?

Do you mean 1989?
Because when you look at Kate pictures over the years this one has to be taken at least 12 years ago or more.

I actually emailed Terry Richardson who was the photographer of this one with Jerry & Kate. Let´s see if i get a reply of when it was taken.
