Tim McGraw has a new song out "Southern Voices" that mentions Jerry Lee. I know of several others that also mention him.
1.Boogie Woogie Choo Choo train
2.George Jones (can't remember the name of the song)
3. Help me gang

The George Jones/Barbara Carter duet mentioning Jerry Lee is 'Milwaukee Here I Come', which Jerry Lee and Linda Gail also recorded, giving both Jerry Lee and George Jones several mentions.

There are many songs mentioning Jerry Lee. '10 Long Fingers' by Groove Joe Poovey being one, but I was disappointed when he came to UK and didn't even play piano himself, sung the song accompanied by his guitar!

DJ Billy (Bill) Mack did a tribute song to Jerry Lee: 'To Jerry Lee' on Lewis Records. I have both these records on 45 singles.

Beki Brindle's video singing 'Jerry Lee Is King' is another.
Larry Williams mentions Jerry Lee and other rock'n'roll artists on a live album he recorded in the 1960s.

There must be many more, though of course Jerry Lee is mentioned most often on Jerry Lee's own records!
Long ago in Ferriday down in Louisiana, They all watched Jerry play and pump that old piana

Didn't Kenny Lovelace include some on his '20 Years Overnight' album?

One that alot of people do not catch is the love song by John Michael Montgomery "I Love the way you Love Me". The line is -
"I like to to imitate ol' Jerry Lee while you roll your eyes when I'm slightly off key.

I was shocked when I read the lyrics of the song . I never really noticed it until recently.

I think this is one of the latest songs about Jerry. The song is on The Refreshments latest cd called A Band´s Gotta Do What A Band´s Gotta Do written by Joakim Arnell
Here,s the lyrics.

In a little country hop the chicks are swayin´
While on stage the local Killer´s playin´
He´s doin all the moves that he can
Tryin´ so hard to be just like the man
He wants to be like Jerry
From down in Ferriday Louisiana
Who rocked the world with pumpin´ piano
He wants to be the Killer
Be a real floor filler
Sayin´ , look at me I can play
Just like Jerry Lee!
He´s combin´ his hair tryin´ to look real cool
Then he stands up and kicks back the stool
Now he´s belting out Great Balls of Fire
While he´s hands are flyin´ higher and higher
He wants to be like Jerry
From down in Ferriday Louisiana
Who rocked the world with pumpin´ piano
He wants to be the Killer
Be a real floor filler
Sayin´, look at me I can play
Just like Jerry Lee!
He knows every record he did on Sun
No fillers all killers everyone
He´s figured out just how to hold the cigar
Yeah tonight he´s a real big star!
He wants to be like Jerry
From down in Ferriday Louisiana
Who rocked the world with pumpin´ piano
He wants to be the Killer
Be a real floor filler
Sayin, look at me I can play
Just like Jerry Lee!
Hey, look at me I can be
Just like Jerry Lee

What a great song! Reminds me of the many Jerry Lee impersonators I've seen over the years, all trying to look and sound more like The Killer than Jerry Lee himself nowadays.

As a matter of interest Joakim and his group perform on the forthcoming CD by Annie Dolan.

This won't be to everyone's taste...I seem to recall finding it vaguely amusing thirty-plus years ago but now I'm not so sure! Fast forward to 3.35 if you find it too tiresome..
