Todd said he has known Lewis since the mid-1970s when Todd, then a Memphis police officer, occasionally helped provide security at Graceland when Lewis and other Memphis music luminaries visited Elvis Presley.

Couldn't help but smile at that, thinking of the notorious episode in (?) November '76...

 Shame on me for mentioning that in this context, an occasion for outright celebration! Still, as I've already blotted my copybook, I'll throw another barb... what a shame J.W. didn't appear to have a sense of the occasion and don more suitable attire!

Totally Agree!

Er, no...! Not often, anyway, admittedy!! I'm pretty sure that even he, JW, must have put on his best bib and tucker for the Grammys 'do' in January 2005...! No doubt Martin B. could advise... So there's a challenge for those with any time on their hands - find a decent picture of JW demonstrating some sartorial elegance.

 me too!

THAT t-shirt didn`t work!
I'm a rollin' stone all alone and lost
For a life of sin I have paid the cost
When I pass by all the people say
Just another guy on the lost highway

I thought this too - a scruffy t-shirt. I suppose we're lucky he wasn't wearing his full leather gear which he wore in Blazing Saddles was it? I remember seeing it in some video clip.

Very good! Thank you!!
Where did they take the video clips of "Roll Over Beethoven", "Trouble In Mind" and "Great Balls Of Fire" from? That´s professionally filmed material, crystal clear and seems to be powerful. On GBOF Jerry looks like he did in 2003 or 2004, so it´s no current material?!!
Has anybody seen these video parts before?

I think they are from the show Jerry did in that Memphis music store during the promotion of LMS

Katie Kennedy, 17 year old Rossview High School student, recently met music legend Jerry Lee Lewis at the Tennessee State General Assembly. The Tennessee House of Representatives recognized Jerry Lee Lewis for his lifetime accomplishments. Katie was there with her father, Kevin C. Kennedy, who was invited to give the opening prayer to the Tennessee State Legislature.

Pictured Left Right: Jerry Lee Lewis, KaShanda Pecor, and Katie Kennedy.
