New SUN Vinyl LPs!

Bear Family will be releasing two vinyl LPs of JLL Sun material over the coming months (...that is, in addition to the re-release of the 10" South African LP, which has been trailed for some weeks).

Everything on the two new albums will be 'first time' on vinyl - fourteen tracks on each 12" LP, the first covering 1957 - 1959 and the second 1960-63. Most, but not all, versions/takes were heard for the first time only on the 2015 box set.

The artwork/appearance will be similar to German London label issues of the early 1960s (e.g like "Das Ist Jerry Lee Lewis"). The first of the two should be available in late June.

I just bought this first volume yesterday. An excellent compilation, they sure have found some true gems from that giant box set. Many of these alternate takes sounds actually better than the originally released ones.
