Yes, I agree. This LP though called "Greatest" isn't one of the greatest JLL-LPs. Sam Phillips had a lot good material to choose from in '61, but somehow he missed. The performances on this one are nice, as most of Jerry Lee Lewis' recordings, but in my opinion it misses the point of being a well-collected compilation.

Sam should've waited until the following January, & then released an entire album of recordings made within the previous 12 months under the title 'Whole Lotta Twistin' Goin' On'. Would've made better commercial sense as well as been more cohesive musically.

I'm going through Jerry's albums on here and giving marks out of five for the album covers (regardless of the actual content)...

Very good photo (though Jerry's dark hair ages him considerably since 1958), but I'm not keen on the garish background.
