On February 15th, Fats made a phone call to his friend Herb Hardesty in Las Vegas. A friend of mine was visiting Herb a couple of days and he was a Fats fan. Herb put him on the phone with Fats. My buddy asked Fats several questions and got short one-word answers. Not like Fats. He did sing "Telling Lies" on the phone with a few verses. Strange is the fact that Fats asked Herb, "When did you move to Las Vegas?" Herb has been living there since 1972...forty years. Herb will be 87 on March 3rd. Today, (Feb 26) Fats turns 84. I'll be phoning Fats tonight as I do on all his birthdays since 2006. He used to talk for an hour. Happy Birthday Antoine.

26th February is also the birth dates of Johnny Cash (he would've been 80) & Sandie Shaw (65 years young today!).

Hey Wolfgang! Treme is a neighborhood of New Orleans. This drama series centered on residents of New Orleans and their lives after the flood of Katrina in 2005. It began on HBO-TV on 11th of April, 2010. In series 3 running weekly on HBO between September 23-November 25, Fats is scheduled to be in an episode titled "Careless Love" on October 28, 2012. Don't expect new footage. At least not as far as singing goes. More later...

Sorry, wished I had. We do not have HBO-TV.

Dr. Rock, Charles White, phoned me yesterday. He said his 1-hour BBC radio show this coming Sunday (March 3rd) will be all Fats Domino.
