And rightly so, I hate The Who.

I was there booing The Who. But I didn't see any bottles being thrown at them, I think the hardest things to be thrown at them (apart from plastic/cardboard cups, etc.) were old pennies. I remember a girl either giving me pennies to throw or asking for some to throw at them.

Now if we'd had £1 coins in those days, with a few thousand Teds and rockers in the audience The Who could have collected quite a nice tip!

I recorded this program onto sky+ recorder but the whole program has terrible skips and faults so it won't record onto CD very well. So much for modern technology!
Sorry guys

Don't boo THE WHO! They're humans, too (and I like their music!)

But it would be great if they had unearthed this discarded tape of Gene's apparently inferior performance, as it would be most interesting to see.

Apparently according to Dereck Henderson who wrote the excellant Gene Vincent discography and was behind the Bear Family releases says that the footage does indeed exsist.

I had seen it, but it wasn't among my downloads, so thanks for this. An Italian back-up band I take it, not the Bluecaps? (I thought for a minute Gene and the guitarist were gonna kiss! Very camp.)
