Oh no!!! I had no idea he was in bad health?!

I first met Buck in 1992 (during his first UK visit with Jerry), and hung out with him a lot, even playing his guitar during a jam session. A good man.

Let's not also forget that he was performing with Jerry even before Kenny Lovelace, and can be heard to great effect (and even seen on the cover) on 'The Greatest Live Show on Earth!' album:

R.I.P. Buck!

A good man indeed! And an excellent musician!

He falls into the heart and arms of those who wait for him.

There's an obituary / tribute to Buck (written by yours truly) in the latest issued of 'Now Dig This' magazine.

While browsing the mag (excellent as always), I was saddened to hear of the death of Roger Ward, who ran the Thunderbird Rock 'n' Roll Club in Wellingborough for many years. I have fond memories of seeing Linda Gail Lewis there a couple of times in the early '90s, though I unfortunately missed the legendary night when Carl Perkins played there.

Sorry to hear about Roger. I remember him well. Never went to his club, much to my regret. In those days you'd often see fans who would travel together- Neil Turner & Pete Hayman, Peter Checksfield & Jonathan Dinsdale - and Roger Ward & Howard Bostock. Monica still has one of Rogers' t-shirts she was given by Joel Schumaker.
And of course, sad news about Buck.

Martin.
