Any reason(s) given for the cancellations? Poor ticket sales perhaps? Chubby isn't regarded as the superstar he should be after having so many hits and (briefly) influencing just about everyone.

No idea why it was cancelled, but the promoter picked some strange locations for sure (small villages in the middle of nowhere). I am sure Chubby Checker would sell well in major cities in Europe including the UK.
