Lemmy always made clear who his influences were: Jerry Lee, Chuck, Richard and Buddy Holly. He described the Motörhead sound as "dirty Rock'n'Roll, not Heavy Metal". His sound was absolute unique.

Well, Lemmy has had a real rockin' life, similar as Jerry has.
He never changed anything in style, music or his meanings.
It is sad, he is gone, but I think for a real boozer, rocker, whatever you name him, the age of 70 to reach is pretty unusual!
Think, he knew it since 2014, when he went seriously ill, but he kept on working.
At the last show on Dezember 2015 he really said, "We are Motörhead, don't forget us!" and that spoke to itself!

Rest in Peace Lemmy!

By the Way, NO SLEEP 'TIL HAMMERSMITH is maybe the second best Live Album ever, after Starclub.
