I sent a query to 'Under the Bridge' as there is nothing on their website for 21st march;
I've had a reply saying the show will not go ahead ,as it was never confirmed by the promoter.

Linda played Soho's 'Spice of Life' last night; Tony P was there & hopefully will post a report - or else only FB users will be keeping up with developments :( - courtesy Scott & Daniel :)
LGL has 2 other gigs I'd not seen till very recently- tonight in the Wirral - Henshaw British Legion with Mike Byrne & also tomorrow in Batley, yorks. They are on Thomas' JLL.org page. Thursday Monica & I go to Doncaster & I'll post a report.
I'm likely to go tonight - but it's not 100% sure as I have commitments this afternoon into the evening.

The show Tuesday night was excellent and I'm glad I made the effort. I've seen Mike Byrne back Linda before & he always does a great job. He is an engaging compare / M.C. for the proceedings. There was a pleasant surprise to see Andy Williams in the line up for the group. As well a a brilliant performer himself, he knows LGL so well. The show went very well with a packed house, and contained many familiar songs as well as a few surprises. Linda opened with Bopping The Blues and included Blue Suede Shoes, Let's Have A Party, Jambalaya, All Shook Up, One Night and A Fool Such As I - a song I don't remember hearing Linda do before. Great guitar by Andy in the Style of the Elvis recording. A big surprise for me was Always On My Mind which Linda sang beautifully to her own accompaniment ,with the group providing sparse backing. The dance floor would be full for many songs, none more so than her Line-dance favourite You Can Have My Husband and the fast moving Roll On from the Gas Station Flowers CD - a song she said that she picked up here in the UK. As the time passed Linda included Rockin My Life Away and then WLS and GBF. That wasn't the end though and we had Old Black Joe, Shake Rattle and Roll ,Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, Just A Closer Walk With Thee ( again,superb playing from Linda) and from Linda's gospel album Do Lord - before the show finally closed with Johnny B Goode , Mike Byrne on keyboard . I had the chance to speak at length with Linda after the show;,there are exciting times ahead for Linda and Annie, with both having new projects in the offing and she seems especially optimistic for Annie's future. Linda has recently moved house to Austin, Texas . Looking forward to Doncaster tonight, before Linda flies out early Friday morning.

That's just a few miles from where I live! Almost certainly the nearest she's ever come to Margate.

Wolfie, you've listed the wrong Linda Lewis! :oops:

There's even an interview with her in today's local newspaper.

by the way - not strictly linked to LGL, but I saw Tony Houlton at the show thursday night. I hadn't seen him in some time & last I heard he had been very ill; needless to say I was thrilled to see him & hopefully some people on here will also be pleased to hear that.
