Tonight I happened to see a final snippet of the film "Blackboard Jungle" closing with "Rock around the clock" in Finland's TV. That filmtune made Bill Haley really popular in Finland.

Bill Haley in Sweden 1979 including COMPLETE Calling All Comets

This one is not "new", but this is a longer version with better sound and picture quality, and with a documentary and interview segment that wasn’t in the earlier version. There’s footage of the Comets at an airport in 1968 with Nick Nastos and Rudy.

Who would have thought this? Aged 90 Comets-drummer Dick Richards has formed another band - the READY ROCKERS:

In this song even Joey Ambrose is involved - "Knockin' On Heaven's Door":

Here's the full movie again (quality could be better though, does anyone here have these clips in good quality?)

quote="Dirk B."]This is a sensational clip I haven't seen before: Bill Haley and the Comets are backing blues legend Big Joe Turner:

Dirk B. wrote:And yet another one: New Orleans http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MA7ogYLhdV8 This time it's Bill Haley and the comets without Bill Haley and the Comets. Strange one!

I'm not sure if this works, but there is a clip of Haley and Comets doing Caravan-A-Go-Go from the same show. Copy and paste this link:

Bill Haley and The Comets 1964 "Rock Around The Clock
from the Orfeon a Go Go performances

Haley and the band looks a little uninspired though.
