Overhyped?

Much as I love most of the SUN recordings, I'm inclined to agree with Wolfie. Jerry recorded and released almost 50 years of further material after he left the company, many of them as brilliant as anything else by anyone!

For what it's worth, my "Golden Decade" for Jerry's music is roughly 1961-1971.

100% agree with that Golden Decade. Since his more "mature" voice in Sun (You only have to listen to songs like : I forgot to remember to forget, Cold Cold Heart, I know what it means, Be Bop a Lula, Carry me back to old Virginia...) until his recordings from "Would you Take Another chance on me", (his top vocals in my opinion) is my preferred period. Although" The Killer Rocks On ", is still great too, you can notice his first problems with high notes on near dates(easy see it on the European Tour 1972 live shows, for instance)
