I'm wondering the same thing myself.

Perhaps more importantly to us fans, has Jerry finally really retired? As far as I can recall his last concert was 6 months ago, and he doesn't appear to have any more upcoming gigs.

"My future? I'm clinging to life. I'm clinging to Linda and Jerry. I'm clinging to the hope that they love me and that they live long, long lives. Because I need them. They don't realize that. But I need them. I need them so very, very much. I look forward to Jerry coming home once again. Maybe someday he will. Sometimes it is seven or eight years I don't see Linda. It would be just a wonderful thing if they just could even come home. It doesn't have to be a Christmas day, could be a 23rd, could be a 9th, could be a 10th. It doesn't matter what day of the month or what day of the year. Just we can meet here. Perhaps an hour or two, fifteen minutes. Hell, even just have a conference call, you know. Anything would be good, anything would be better than nothing. I think it'd be very bad for something to happen to Jerry, because I am still waiting for that hug. I'm still waiting for that hug like he gives to Linda." Frankie Jean Lewis (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0MiONkwjuQ, 48:30 - 50:14, 2004)

He has not been to any funeral for decades now to my knowledge. It is too much for him emotionally. I don't blame him knowing he will forever carry his beloved sister in his heart.

BS Wolfgang. He should attend all family funerals. He didn't even go to his life-time best friends funeral; Cecil Harrelson.

I agree its terrible he didn't attend his sister's funeral. I understand death has always really bothered him due to bad memories and his religious views and grief, but when it comes to things that most of us consider to be moral obligations Jerry Lee Lewis is a strange man.

I think it's his business, not ours.

Of course we can all have our different opinions on it.

Frankie's husband, Marion Terrell, 73, died March 28, 2018. He'll be waked at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday on April 2, between noon and 2 p.m. with funeral following at 2 p.m. Burial will be next to his wife Frankie in the Calhoun Cemetery in Clayton. He leaves behind son Wayne New-58, and 3 daughters...Mamie, Marian, and Melinda.
