sessions cd cover that I will share with all of you once ready....

Anybody?? :(

ps: I've tried looking for a good book today, but no such luck.

I have some good live pics of UK shows somewhere. I'll have to dig some out.

If you have Linda Gail's book, the cover photo was taken in 1987 (Northampton, 6th April 1987):

Hi, unchained.

Great to see you here. Your reputation precedes you.
I like your cover artwork very much, especially for the elvis imports.

I got some highres pix of JLL, but unfortunately nothing from the late 80's.

Why don't you just use a JLL pic from 1989, e.g.
the legends gig in Rome on DVD?
I used some DVD screenshots for my own covers. They're not highres, but I applied some filters and effects to make them look better.

EDIT:
Now, this just came to my mind:
What does the whole forum think about a cover artwork section?
I've always thought there should be board specialised on JLL covers, like ther're so many about Elvis covers.
Maybe we can unite some hobby artists here. Designers hands up! ;)
So Long, W.Skinner
have a look at my own R'n'R band: www.dekrauts.rocken.de

I always liked these two photos from Zurich, Switzerland from 1987. Copyright shouldn't be a problem as I've made them myself.

Best Wishes

Hi Skinner,

I've made most of them Elvis covers during the last 6 years and want
to focus on JLL covers from now on. If you got some HQ's, no
matter from what year I be happy with a copy of 'em. :D

unchained@orange.nl

I can use late 80's stage pictures for a few other 80's concerts I have,
but prefer them to be from the right year, or better yet the actual show.
There's lots to do when it comes to Jerry Lee cd's and mostly the trade cd's that are being traded among fans.

I don't really believe in a art topic in the long run, but then again
it can bring some more fun to a forum. And, it kept TCB-world going
for the first two years

Fantastic!

Would it possible to scan them at a higher resolution?
Best thing is that you would save it as TIFF or JPG....

Let me check at home if I have them in better quality. Be patient as I will not be able to check it until tomorrow evening.

If lucky, I may be able to get my hands on the actual soundboard or AR and send
you a copy when finished. But I'll have to ask my JLL buddy's to be sure
on that one 8)

Ok, here there are the photos as jpg. Sorry, but that's the best quality. I've added two more. Maybe you can use one of those.

Joerg, i got exact these two pics years ago from some website. I thought they were from Stavanger in Norway 1987. But it is obviously wrong. I have a few more that i got at the same site & place, which i also thought was from Stavanger.

I posted one of them here, is this one yours too Joerg?

Thanks for taking the time to upload them! I will use them for a future cd cover design for sure. The '87 picture I got now (dispite being B/W) has a higher resolution so I'll probalby use that one for the Kilroy cd cover.

No, that's not one of mine but it is definitely from Zurich as well. When you look at the monitor on the photos there is even Swiss adress and phone number on it.

Zurich remains the only show from that tour where I've failed to find an audio recording (anyone?).

When you mention it Peter, i wonder if anyone has a recording of that show in Zurich where Jerry was too sick to play, and Chuck Berry jumped in and played piano instead of Jerry. Ought to be interesting to hear what songs Chuck did! I talked with Wolfie about it this summer, but he had no clue either.

Or at least a review from someone who saw it would be interesting! It happened early 90´s without checking exactly.
